International Media Company BV (IMC) is part of the holding Sansyl Beheer BV which, besides IMC, consists of companies that all serve a specific part of the erotic market. It all started with Bookpress that started to publish erotic magazines in 1968. Holland was already one of the sexually most liberated countries, which made it possible to publish the hardcore magazine Chick and the outstanding teen brand Seventeen, which started with Seventeen magazine and expanded to the video label. In 1995 it became obvious that the internet was a big chance for expansion of the erotic market. Internet finally made pornography accessible to people all over the world. Time for Bookpress to start an internet division, which resulted in International Media Company.
